O’zeret Open Ozeret

Questions

What people ask about Ozeret.

What is Ozeret?

An app that connects homes with independent housekeepers nearby. Homes post the cleaning they need; cleaners close by say they are available; the home chooses, and the two agree the visit directly.

How much does it cost?

The first month is free for everybody. After that it is $2.99 a month, for homes and for cleaners alike, and you can cancel online at any time. A launch code adds extra free months.

Does Ozeret take a cut of what the cleaner is paid?

No. The home pays the cleaner directly, in cash, by Zelle or however the two of them agree. Ozeret never holds or handles that money.

Who sets the hourly rate?

The cleaner. Every cleaner sets their own hourly rate and the fewest hours they will take a job for, and can offer a different rate on any job. Homes see both before they book.

Do cleaners need ID or a social security number to join?

No. A phone number is all it takes to sign up. Ozeret never asks for a social security number, immigration status or any government document.

When does a cleaner see my address?

Only after you book them. Before that, cleaners see the area and town, never the street.

Is Ozeret in my area?

Ozeret works by postal code anywhere in the United States, and is active in Rockland County and Brooklyn, New York, and launching in Los Angeles. Cleaners choose how far they travel, so what you see depends on who lives near you.

Are the cleaners vetted or insured?

No. Ozeret is an introduction, not an employer or an agency. Every profile shows reviews from homes, and every home has reviews from cleaners, so both sides can see how the other has done before.

Can I get extra free months?

Yes. Once you join, your own share code is under Settings, Codes. Every person who signs up with it adds a free month to your account, up to six.

What languages is the app in?

English and Spanish, with Haitian Creole, Russian, Yiddish and Hebrew also available in the app.
